Common questions
When does a new picture appear?
NASA publishes one picture a day, usually around midnight US Eastern time. Some days it arrives a little later, and Starframe shows it as soon as NASA does.
Why is a day missing?
Some days NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day is a video or an interactive page instead of a picture. Starframe only shows pictures, so it skips those days.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and choose Starframe.
Saving a picture says it isn’t allowed
Starframe needs permission to add photos to your library. Open Settings, then Apps, then Starframe, then Photos, and choose Add Photos Only.
Who owns the pictures?
Pictures and text come from NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day and belong to their credited authors. Starframe is not affiliated with or endorsed by NASA.
