Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

Starframe is made by one person, Rafael Derolez. It has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn’t sell or share your data with anyone.

On your device

Your favorites, your settings and a cache of recent pictures are stored on your device only. Deleting the app deletes them.

Pictures from NASA

To show pictures, the app and its Home Screen widget download them directly from NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day service (science.nasa.gov). Like any website, NASA’s servers see your IP address when they handle these requests; see NASA’s privacy policy. The requests contain nothing about you.

Your photo library

When you save a picture, Starframe asks for permission to add photos to your library. It can only add pictures, never see the ones you already have.

Feedback

If you send feedback from the app, it sends the email address and message you enter, plus the app version and iOS version, to this website, which emails them to me through Resend. I use them only to read and reply to your feedback, and you can ask me to delete them at any time.
